Last night, voters overwhelmingly rewarded a consensus-seeker with their votes for the Phoenix City Council, as longtime Phoenix Police officer, ASU instructor, and nonprofit leader Kevin Robinson won a seat on the Phoenix City Council representing South Phoenix.
Robinson’s campaign focused relentlessly on his willingness to bring people together and focus on issues that matter to everyone — a significant point of contrast with his ideologically extreme opponent, a former senior advisor to former Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. A bipartisan coalition of elected officials, community advocates, labor unions, and other endorsements helped underline Robinson’s broad appeal.
Congratulations to Councilmember-Elect Robinson!
