On Tuesday, voters in Kansas City and across Missouri turned out for a partisan primary election that included controversial statewide ballot initiatives and primaries for dozens of federal offices. Even in this environment, they were united on Kansas City’s future, passing a slate of ballot questions to issue new municipal bonds and renew an existing municipal sales tax by wide margins.
Convergence served as direct mail and digital consultants to Together KC, a coalition of Kansas City’s political, business, and civic leaders, and encouraged voters of all political parties to support the five city questions as a slate. Our digital and mail communications included common visual elements and boiled a complex set of ballot questions down to a simpler message about Kansas City’s future.
The passage of these critical ballot questions will mean ongoing funding for Kansas City’s affordable housing trust fund, new investments in civic buildings, an ongoing commitment to economic development in Kansas City’s Central City, and continued improvements to water and sewer infrastructure.

We are very proud of our ongoing partnership with Together KC and their leadership team, and gratified by last night’s result.
