The 2025 special election for Arizona’s Seventh Congressional District featured a competitive multi-candidate field and involved communicating with voters in a district with among the highest rates of Spanish spoken at home in the United States. Convergence worked with the Grijalva campaign to produce direct mail that varied its format across the district – fully bilingual in some parts and predominantly English with some Spanish-language elements in others. Additionally, we produced an entirely Spanish-language version of every direct mail piece for use online, allowing the campaign to promote them as an option for voters who preferred to read in Spanish. This tactical approach, which significantly broadened the reach and effectiveness of our direct mail, combined with a powerful message of connection to the district, experience as a progressive leader, and a willingness to fight for the people of the Seventh district. Grijalva won her primary and general elections decisively.
